RELEASE: Raskin Campaign Announces More Endorsements
TAKOMA PARK, MD – Only a few weeks after announcing his campaign for Congress with a long list of supporters, State Senator Jamie Raskin announced today even more endorsements from Montgomery County elected leaders in the 8th District. Montgomery County’s State’s Attorney John McCarthy, the Chair of the Planning Board Casey Anderson, current President of the Board of Education Patricia O’Neill, past president of the Board of Education Shirley Brandman, current member of the Board of Education Judy Docca, current member of the Board of Education Rebecca Smondrowski, and former Mayor of the Town of Chevy Chase Mier Wolf all voiced their support for Raskin’s candidacy.

The latest round of endorsements adds more momentum to Raskin’s surging campaign.

In only a month on the campaign trail, Raskin has earned the endorsement of more than 50 Democratic elected officials, including the state’s top Democrat Attorney General Brian Frosh, Congressman John Sarbanes (who represents the neighboring Third Congressional District), Congressman John Conyers (the senior Member of the US House of Representatives), former US Senator Joseph Tydings, Maryland Senate President Thomas V. "Mike" Miller, Jr. and the State Senate Majority Leader Catherine Pugh.
